Creative Power

Creativity is empowering because it is personal expression and the birth of something new. Your voice is unique and there are no rules here only your own barriers. Making something whether it is a painting, a drawing, a scribble or something written is purely you. The process of physically working with your hands, feeling paint at the tip of your brush or the pounding of a hammer is your mind and body synthesising ideas with feelings and subconscious waves that flow like a river - an endless resource. I love that I can define what beauty is to me and create it over and over again. As I grow and change so does my art - where will this take me....

Creative-4-Play is an ongoing series of open studio nights just for women - starts October 7th and runs every other Thursday evening until April. Held in my cozy studio, these nights offer women a chance to let their hair down, get creative without any rules and have fun with like-minded people. Creativity is a powerful and mysterious thing most of us don't have time to explore. Creative-4-Play is a chance to ignite your creative flame, find inspiration and have some time just for you. Everyone is welcome, its not about how well you can paint or draw but how brave you are to let go - YA!

Creative 4Play Schedule 2012
Starts in October

6:30 - 8:30pm
$35 per evening, includes supplies, coaching, refreshments & tax

Pre-register and save!
2 Sessions (1 month) - $60
4 Sessions (2 months)- $120
Full Term (3 months)- $230

January - Encaustic Painting & Pottery (hand building)
February - pottery and encaustics continued
March - Mosic art & Decorating pottery (mirror, wall or garden art)

How it works

-Show up for 6:25pm - starts at 6:30pm
-12 Cataraqui Street Kingston, studio 4 - go through the red door
-We greet & welcome each other - connect
-You have 3 options: do encaustic painting, its offered each week, join in on the project/theme of the evening or do your own thing and use my materials.
-Decaf coffee/herbal tea are always offered with a sinful treat to warm your senses.
-music is played to keep your spirit in a playful place
-The night ends at 9:00pm, its $35 and that includes tax, supplies and treats.
